For almost 10 years, Swedish trance mastermind Jezper Soderlund, better known as Airbase, has made a significant contribution to the worldwide EDM scene. His tracks are played by all of the best-known DJs, such as DJ Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten to name but a few...
During this period, he has released numerous hits, but they have never lead to an artist album. Until now!! Jezper describes his new album as "Two years of hard work filtered down to over 70 minutes of the very essence of what music means to me. It wasn't until now that I felt I had what it took to make it work!"
Airbase's debut album "We Might Fall" is scheduled for release on Dutch record label Intuition Recordings on 18 February 2011. The album features 11 tracks and combines a spectrum of styles from ambient to the distinctive trance that Airbase has built his reputation on. Furthermore, Airbase initiated album co-ops with - remember him? - Empyreal Sun and vocalists Floria Ambra and Ilana.
You would expect all of the tracks on the album to be straight up, melodic, hands-in-the-air trance tracks. However, although Jezper has clearly stayed true to his sound, this album has also seen him step out of his comfort zone to try some new things.
The result of this is an album that quite accurately demonstrates Jezper's current musical mindset. As he says himself: "I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do" Our thoughts exactly.
