For more than 10 years I was intensely interested in Afro-House, as it was the first kind of style the producers of House used to get an approach to the unknown planet "Worldmusic". Already in 2006 I have compiled the sampler "The Afro Club Night, Vol. 01". As always, I have also gathered at that time my personal hits of the respective style on a double album. This sampler "Afro Club Night" sells very well, so the label wished the continuation of the series. However, in the meantime I had found much more interest in Oriental-House and Electro-Dub. Particularly as nothing noteworthy happened at this time (2007) in the area of Afro-House. My interest in Afro-House woke up again only when these House-tracks appeared: a) „Siarre“ of Studio Apartment, b) "Africanism" of Noir and c) "Momma's Groove" of Osunlade.
And I started again with my research in the division of Afro-House and made a find quite fast. All at once there were again Afro-House-tracks, not only with a hectic fire of percussion-loops, but with a dynamic construction, titles which one can use in the club in full length and must not substitute them after 90 seconds, since then everything has already been told, what the number has to provide.
The topical Afro-House-tracks are marked by a propelling dramaturgy, remarkable vocal phrases and extremely dry percussion effects. This entails now, that also clubbers, who have few points of contact with "Worldmusic", storm the dance floors.
In other words, it is time for "The Afro Club Night, Vol. 02"!
