After two acclaimed CDs released by Fuga Libera, Jocelyne Cuiller has joined Ligia and offers us a programme entirely given over to C.P.E. Bach.
After a succession of similar feelings experienced when playing the music of one and reading the novels of the other, Jocelyne Cuiller felt the need to draw a parallel between the works of two artists, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Mishima Yukio. Both walk a road marked by independence in relation to aesthetic environment: they envisage the creation of a new style completely disrupting the very landscape of their era when it comes to art. In this way, through "indirect illumination", they reveal extreme sensitivity and contradictory or contrasting sentiments through the possibilities offered by literary writing in Mishima's case and musical composition in Bach's.
