內容簡介

"A lavishly illustrated, 90-page compendium of the sort of jaw-dropping statistics which children love to outdo each other." - Daily Telegraph

"This lovely book, with great illustrations by Paul Boston, is packed full of the sort of facts children love. The large pages are stuffed with extraordinary details, comparing everything from animals, to space to machines. Aimed at 7+, this seems like a book that could last for years, as it is so full of interesting little tit bits." - Reading Zone

"The Book of Comparisons is a crazy good fact nugget tomb!" - WRD Magazine

"Definitely a book to dip in and out of, with lots of engrossing information to captivate young and old. The facts are astonishing." - Parents in Touch

Did you know that a cheetah and a Porsche can both accelerate from 0 to 70 mph/112 kph in just three seconds? That the moon is only slightly narrower than the width of Australia? That the tallest tree in the world, the giant sequoia, is the same height as a 26-story building? Or that length of a blue whale is the same as 19 humans swimming one behind the other?

This exciting picture book for curious kids measures and compares a huge variety of different subjects: the strongest animals, the biggest poopers and eaters, the amount of water in the oceans, the most deadly creatures and disasters, extreme journeys, altitudes and depths, the power of natural forces, dimensions of manmade structures, speeds of the fastest vehicles, and the capabilities of super machines. Absorbing, entertaining, and surprising, you’ll never look at the world in the same way again once you’ve read this book!
